Artist Statement for Sculpture?

Not entirely sure if we need to do one of these, but what the heck, it won't hurt to do one anyway. I had a rough time coming up with any sort of feasible idea for this talisman thing. It took me a tad bit of brainstorming to come up with something but I finally came up with what I wanted to do. This whole semester I have been battling with my heart and my brain on certain decisions in my life so I decided I would make something that would symbolize that. A conflict of interested within my body. I think it turned out great. I was nervous when I started because I didn't know where the project was going to go but I think it came together very nicely.

PROJECT #5!!!!!!....Tactical Media...

This was a very entertaining project for me because I got to screw around with a company that I am actually somewhat loyal to. I have played most of Blizzards games, so it was fun to take what I have experienced within the games and bring it out on their website. I don't hate Blizzard, I think the games they produce are incredible and they have an amazingly talented staff, I just happened to have some ideas against their website and this project gave me the motivation to actually do something with it. It is actually mind blowing to see how much is editable on the internet and how much I can actually do with the software I am given. The age of digital media has just begun and it is only getting warmed up. I am incredibly excited to see how this field evolves and transforms in the future. Reading #4 Questions

1. Is there a limit to how far "Hacktivism" can go before it is considered something different? In this new world of technology when does enough become enough?

2. In today's world we have so many people who are so incredibly set on their current beliefs and paradigms, do you think the type of tactical media, that is meant to change peoples perspectives, will remain relevant? Do you think people will eventually become so oblivious to what is actually happening no amount of exposure will be able to change them?

Video Project!!

My video

I found a video that was some guy messing around with a synthesizer and using an old tv for the color. This essentially is what lead electronic music artists to make their music, just seeing what would happen. I loved the idea and I had an upcoming electronic music concert so I waited it out and took some videos. I LOVE how it turned out.
